What email notifications do I receive when I follow a task?

 

Goal

To understand when you will receive email recaps for tasks you follow, so you can stay informed about important task activity without checking each task manually.

Plan availability: Followed task email recaps are available on Jog, Run, and Sprint plans.

How Followed Task Email Recaps Work

1. Follow a task in Pacer.
2. Pacer checks whether that task had any changes within the previous 24 hours.
3. If there were changes, a recap email is sent at 12:00 PM UTC.
4. The recap email may include updates such as comments added, files uploaded, target date changes, and other task activity.
5. If there were no changes to the task during the previous 24 hours, no email is sent.

Tip: If you are following a task and do not receive a recap email, it usually means there were no updates to that task in the previous 24 hours.

Note: This is a recap email, not an instant notification. Emails are only sent when activity has occurred on a task you follow.
