Goal
Understand how to manage and approve files uploaded to tasks and projects, giving you greater oversight and control over file submissions across your organization. Asking for files can include the request for completed forms, signed training documents, floor plans, or even proposed marketing material for approval.
Note: File Approval is included in the Jog, Run, and Sprint
plans.
Tip: You can download all project files at once from the
Project Control Hub.
Warning: Denying a file will remove it from both the task
and the location dashboard.
How To
- Ensure your task includes a file upload requirement when building your baseline tasks. It's possible to ask of this in the task name or description, but you can also set this as a workflow if your plan allows. Learn More on Workflows Here
- Team members can upload files to the task, which will then appear on both the location dashboard and the Project Control Hub under the 'Project Files' tab.
- As an admin, owner, or moderator, go to the Project Control Hub to view all uploaded files across tasks and locations.
- Use column filters to sort and review files by uploader, status, location, and more.
- To approve or deny a file, either:
- Click the file’s status in the Project Control Hub and select Approve or Deny, or
- Navigate to the location dashboard and click the pencil icon next to the file name to take action.
- Approved files remain visible in the system, while denied files are removed from the task and dashboard view.
