This article helps you get started using Pacer’s Data Reporting PowerBI add-on to analyze task and project data across locations.
Note: Data Reporting is not included in a standard Pacer plan. To add it to your account, contact support@getpacer.com.
How To
Popular Filters for Visuals/Reports
To view only “Current” Pacer data and exclude historical snapshots:

Popular Filters for Historical Snapshots
To report on what was in Pacer as of a specific past date:

Building Time-Based Reports
- Add Date Week or Date Month as a column to group by week/month
- Include Date Year in your filter pane
- Use Calcs Task Count Task Count to show total tasks
- To show task count on a specific day, use Date Date as a filter
Comparing Time Frames
- Use Historical Intelligence Group Time Frames Time Frames
- Common selections: MTD and PY-MTD
Additional Notes
- Current data in PowerBI is refreshed daily
- Historical snapshots are taken weekly, every Sunday
- A reporting week is Monday through Sunday
- The earliest historical snapshot is from Sunday, January 5, 2025
- Current data goes back 5 years from today (rolling)
Note: Inactive or deleted tasks are automatically excluded from reports.
Note: For accurate weekly completions, change the date type to Completed Date when using the Completed Tasks calc field.
Note: Teams not yet using Projects will have limited data available until they transition.
