Goal
Include the task and all of the task details into the subject of a meeting on my calendar on my company's Outlook or Google Calendar.
How To
- Open the task that you want to add to your calendar
- In the top of the slide out, select Share (arrow icon)
- Select your calendar type (there is an option to create a calendar event for Google Calendar, Outlook (Desktop), and Outlook (Office 365/web)
- Complete the process on your device
What happens next
During the creation process, Pacer will pre-populate the event date and copy over the key information about the task; you can choose to customize the event (for example, adjust the date if you would like complete the task early). If the task is past due, the event date will default to today's date.
What happens if the task changes
The event you create in Outlook is not linked to the task in Pacer. If the event that the opening date or project date shifts in Pacer, the tasks' target dates will change accordingly; the event you created in Outlook will not be impacted unless you choose to update it.
