Why
We know there are many different types of companies using Pacer in many different ways for all kinds of projects. Not everyone has a background in Project Management (that's why we are here to help!) and wants to use the project management jargon. We wanted to make individuals feel more connected to their projects, by allowing you to make customizations. For one, you don't have to call the due date of a project, a Zero Date. We've made it so that this field is editable for admins, owners, and moderators.
Goal
This article will show you how you can change the name of a project's Zero Date to something more relatable to your project. Some examples are; Go Live, Opening, Launch, or even Start! Keep in mind that the system will automatically add the word 'Date' wherever this is displayed. Ex: If you make your new Zero Date name "Opening Date" instead of "Opening" you'll see "Opening Date Date" displayed in a few places.
| Tip: you can make the 'Zero Date' the first day of the project and have your tasks happen after this date. Reach out to support@getpacer.com if you're interested in exploring this method more |
