Goal
This article will show you how to request a Project Waiver and how to approve or deny a Project Waiver as a Project Manager.
As a User Submitting a Waiver Request
Navigate to the Dashboard of a Location and find your list of active Projects under the Projects section. Click on "View Project Resources" If your Project Implementation Manager has allowed for Waiver Requests, you should see the option to submit a Waiver Request in the drawer that opens along the right hand side. (See steps 1 and 2 in the image below). Once you submit a Waiver Request, the project will be placed On Hold and disappear from the Location's Dashboard until it has been Approved or Denied.
You will receive an email confirmation that you have submitted the Waiver Request to the email on your profile. The Project Implementation Manager will receive an email with details on Who submitted the Waiver, for what locations, the day and time as well as the Project the Waiver was submitted for.
As a Project Support Agent Receiving a Waiver Request
Each time a Project is created, there is a designated Project Support Agent. [The designated Support Agent will automatically be assigned any support ticket that is related to this particular Project.] This person will receive an email when an individual submits a Waiver for a Project from any location.
As a Project Implementation Manager Receiving a Waiver Request
Anyone with access to Admin > Multi-Team Projects > [Your Project Here] can navigate to the Project Manager Dashboard and scroll down to the Project Waiver section. It is here that you can click on a location, and approve or deny the Waiver.
What Happens When I Approve or Deny a Waiver?
Approval
Approving a Waiver will keep the project in an "On Hold" state. It will not appear on the Dashboard of a Location.
Denial
Denying a Waiver will place the project "Off Hold" [When a Waiver Request is submitted, the project automatically is placed "On Hold"]
Adjusting the Zero Date After Denying a Waiver
If you've decided to Deny a Waiver, your next step might be updating the Zero Date of the Project. We've made it easier to do this right in the Project Waiver section of the Project Manager Dashboard. Click on the "..." Actions menu will open up the option to Change Zero Date.
